Overview

Qingdao Blue Bio-medical Park is located in the core area of Qingdao’s future third generation new city, which is the center of the "Big Qingdao" development strategy. Overall planning of Qingdao Blue Bio-medical Park has been carried out according to the basic rules and the industrial structure of the development of biomedical industry, combining with Qingdao’s local urban development planning, industrial development needs and the construction and development experience of BSD in science and technology real estate over the past decade. The planning concept of Qingdao Blue Bio-medical Park is “to promote industries with the development of a city, to develop a city with industries, to create a harmonious and livable city which is also appropriate for industries".
 
The park covers an area of 110 hectares, the construction scale is 1.86 million square meters, the total investment of the project plans to be 11 billion yuan, and it focuses on the development of marine-featured innovative drugs, antibody drugs, protein drugs and other biomedical industry projects. The overall planning of the park is to build "three parks and one area", namely the Incubation Park, Acceleration Park, Industrial Park and Living Area.
 
Among them, the building area of the incubation park is 120,000 square meters, and its current investment has reached 800 million yuan. Depending on the needs of load, ventilation, floor, cleaning, etc., the park is equipped with test space and a variety of research and development offices in line with GMP and GLP standards. This park is mainly to support the growth of small and medium enterprises, to meet the full-service chain needs of bio-pharmaceutical companies from start-up to development, and to create a new scientific and technological, ecological and cultural city which is appropriate for business, research, living and entrepreneurship.
 
The construction area of the Acceleration Park is 240,000 square meters. It customizes test space for enterprises depending on their characteristics. It focuses on promoting pilot scale experiments and small-scale production space and promoting the rapid growth of SMEs.
 
The Industrial Park is mainly to meet the company's production and expanded reproduction needs. It is equipped with a SME gathering area, a R&D and manufacturing area, a logistics area and so on.
 
The Living Area covers 680,000 square meters and it has constructed 2048 units of talent apartments. These environmentally exquisite living space is equipped with complete schools, hospitals and businesses which can provide the talents living in the park with a variety of comfortable living facilities.
 
According to the overall plan, we plan to use five years to attract a number of world-class pharmaceutical research and development companies to settle in the park. The project can accommodate up to 200 middle and small-sized research and development enterprises and more than 30 large and medium enterprises. After the construction of the park is completely finished and put into production, the total annual income of technology, industry and trade will be more than 10 billion yuan and can provide 30,000 jobs.
 

The award-winning contents 
 
In the Incubation Area, there is one of the most advanced biomedical incubators of China with a building area of approximately 120,000 square meters. It is mainly used to incubate biotechnology and biomedical start-ups and to meet the settlement needs of emerging bio-pharmaceutical R&D outsourcing companies, biomedical companies R&D centers, biomedical agencies and other enterprises. The spatial planning of the Industrial Area has been carried out according to the objective needs of bio-pharmaceutical industry structure and the development and production of biomedical products, and it has set aside ample development space for all types of enterprises in the biomedical industry chain with the aim to create an industry pattern of "regarding key enterprises as leaders, regarding backbone enterprises as support, and regarding supporting enterprises as supplement". According to the construction and planning concept of "harmonious development, livable and appropriate for entrepreneurship" for the building of a new science and technology and eco-city, the living area is equipped with high-quality living facilities, and it holds both city business functions and community service functions, reflects the features of "green, innovation and integration", and provides a soothing, peaceful, easy and romantic coastal living environment.
 

Geographical Location

Qingdao Blue Bio-medical Park is located in Chengyang District, Qingdao City, south of Zhengyang Road, east of Xiangmao River and in the core of the eastern innovation island groups of Qingdao National High-tech Industrial Development Zone. It is 3 km away from the coast of Jiaozhou Bay and 8 km away from Qingdao International Airport.
 
Traffic Condition
 
Airport: Qingdao Blue Bio-medical Park is 8 km away from Qingdao International Airport which takes 10 minutes to drive there; 18 km away from Qingdao Port which takes about 20 minutes to drive there; 25 km away from the front harbor which takes about 30 minutes to drive there.
 
Land Transport: The road traffic in the park is also very convenient. The park is about 1 km away from Jiaozhou Bay Expressway, 7 km away from State Road 204, about 5 km away from Jinan-Qingdao Expressway, about 35 km away from Tongjiang-Sanya Expressway, and about 8 km away from Bay Bridge.
 
Infrastructure Construction
 
The construction of the park's infrastructure has been basically completed. Currently, the park's water supply capacity is 100,000 cubic meters per day; it is close to a 220KV high voltage transmission corridor, and there are many 220KV and 110KV transformer substations in the park, which can enable duplicate uninterrupted and safe power supply.
 
Laying of rainwater pipe discharge network has been basically completed, a network drainage system has been formed using natural water network; the sewage treatment capacity is 50,000 m3 per day, the sewage treatment capacity of the second stage will be 200,000 m3 per day. Natural gas supply capacity is 30,000 cubic meters per day, the calorific value is 8600 kcal, the pressure can be adjusted under 10,000 Pa, the steam supply capacity is 500 tons per hour.
 
As to communication, telephone exchange capacity is 35,000. It has formed a variety of communication networks including mobile communications, data transmission, broadband networks, and it is also effectively covered by digital cable TV network.
